The nursery you carefully prepared, the rocking chair where you spend late-night feedings, and the tiny details of this season all become meaningful pieces of your family's memories.
In-home sessions are relaxed and baby-led, with plenty of time for feeding, cuddling, diaper changes, and soothing. There is no pressure for your baby to sleep or behave perfectly. The goal is simply to document your family exactly as you are during this incredible season.
Frequently Asked Questions
When Should I Book My Newborn Session?
I recommend reserving your newborn session during your second trimester to ensure availability around your due date.
Most newborn sessions take place within the 1-3 after birth, though there is truly no wrong time for a lifestyle newborn photography session. Because these sessions focus on connection and storytelling, beautiful images are possible whether your baby is one week old or several weeks old.
Many families choose to reserve both maternity and newborn photography together to document the complete journey from pregnancy to baby's arrival. If you book both maternity and newborn sessions together, you will recieve a $50 discount on your package.
Where do newborn sessions take place?
Most newborn sessions take place in your home where your family feels most comfortable. I also offer an all white studio and a styled bedroom if you prefer a studio newborn session. This is complimentary with any newborn or maternity session.
Can siblings be included?
Absolutely. Siblings are always encouraged to come. I love capturing the sweet bond between siblings and their new baby.
Can we include our dog?
Yes! Family pets are part of your story and are always welcome. If your pet needs some treat bribes, I am happy to help assist!
What should we wear?
Soft neutral tones, comfortable fabrics, and coordinated colors photograph beautifully and create a timeless look. I love pops of soft colors like butter yellow, blush, or a soft blue.
What if my baby cries?
That's completely normal. Newborn sessions are intentionally relaxed and allow plenty of time for feeding, soothing, and cuddling. I have my newborn sessions last between 60-90 minutes to accomodate for the breaks baby will take.

I recommend planning your newborn session within the first three weeks after birth. While I happily photograph babies of any age, those early weeks are what I call the "golden window"; when newborns are typically sleepier and more relaxed, making it easier to capture those dreamy, snuggly portraits.
You can reserve your newborn session at any point during your pregnancy. When booking, we'll tentatively schedule your session around your due date. Once your baby arrives, we'll finalize the perfect date and time based on your little one's arrival and your family's needs.
